Growing up in a big Greek family, food was always the heart of celebrations. Some of my favourite memories are with my Yiayia cooking — and taking photos beside her — because there was never measurements, just instinct.
My Yiayia taught me so much about food, tradition, and the joy of sharing with others. Being in the kitchen became something I truly loved — a space to create, and unwind. Whether it was early in the morning or after a long day at university, baking felt therapeutic. It was, and is my way of pouring my energy into something tangible.
While at university, I began baking to unwind and to have healthy snacks to reach for during study sessions. In 2024, I studied in the US for my Masters at the University of South Florida. Immersing myself in the different cultures broadened my perspective on health and life, and gave me a stronger appreciation for my own Greek culture.
Since returning home to Australia, I've found a space in the health industry that aligns with my values. The environment has allowed me to grow and given me confidence to bake more and this helped lead me to create Kerasmera. I am passionate about creating wholesome treats with quality ingredients you can truly look forward to.
